Temporary needs
Your temporary grocery items will stay in your list until you check them off. If they are not marked off, they will remain in your list permanently. To make them disappear from future weeks, simply check them off for the week they were added.

Note: If you shop in store and want to see your whole list (incl products that you need in your temporary and weekly essential list) you should go to “My List” to see the full List.

However, a settings glitch in the new update is causing some users to default to “International Mode,” which hides Australian supermarket features.

The Fix:

1. Go to the More tab.
2. Tap Log Out.
3. Log back in with your account.

This forces the app to refresh your location settings and will restore the Price Comparison tab immediately.

1. Tap “Click & Collect/Delivery” at the bottom of your grocery list.
2. Review the Mix and Match cost of your grocery and the cost for shopping only in each store.
3. Tap “OK” to proceed.
4. Review your order items. You can untick items you do not need.
5. Tap “Checkout through Coles & Woolies” at the bottom right of the screen to finalise your store selection and proceed to checkout.
6. Choose where you want to place your order: ‘Coles and Woolworths’, ‘Only Woolworths’, or ‘Only Coles’.

Part 2: Transferring to Woolworths

If you selected an option that includes Woolworths, follow these steps:

1. Tap on the Woolworths tab.
2. Log in to your Woolworths account.
3. Once you are logged in, tap the yellow banner at the top of the screen that says: “Log in, then tap here to transfer your list items to your shopping cart.” highlighted in yellow at the top
4. Your grocery list items will automatically be loaded into your Woolworths shopping cart.

Part 3: Transferring to Coles

If you selected an option that includes Coles, follow these steps:

1. Tap on the Coles tab.
2. When prompted, allow WiseList to use your location. This helps us find the nearest Coles store for your specific Click & Collect or Delivery order.
3. Log in to your Coles account.
4. Once you are successfully logged in, your grocery list items will automatically load into your Coles shopping cart.

Remember:

• Specials count. Factor in weekly specials and discounts when comparing.
• Supermarket brands are often cheaper. Don’t automatically reach for name brands; compare to the store’s own brand for potential savings.

1. Search for your item: Use the search bar to find any product you need.
2. Sort your results: Locate the “Sort by” option directly under the search bar. Tap it to see your sorting choices.
3. Choose “Lowest Unit Price”: This reveals the true value of each product, regardless of packaging size. It’s the key to comparing apples to apples (or any other groceries!).

Additional Tips:

• The “Specials First” sort option is great for finding discounts on your favorite products.
• The “Price Low to High” sort lets you see the least expensive options at a glance.

   • Go to the Dashboard and tap the “Grocery List” icon, or tap “Grocery” on the navigation bar.
2. Search & Add Items:
   • Use the search bar at the top.
   • Tap the item you want and choose “Temporary Needs” (for occasional items) or “Weekly Essentials” (for staples).
3. View Your Full List: Tap “My List” in the top right corner.

Option 2: Ask WiseList for Help

1. Locate Ask WiseList: Find the “Ask WiseList” bar on your Dashboard (it has a camera and text box).
2. Ask Your Question: Type clearly, for example, “Create a grocery list for my son’s party with 12 kids.“
3. Save the List: Once WiseList provides a list, tap “Save to Grocery List.”
4. Find Your List: Tap “Grocery” on the navigation bar.

How to get started with Personal Customised List?
1. Navigate to the “Grocery List” section via Dashboard
2. Scroll down & Locate “Personalised” Category
3. Enter any item you want to add under “Personalised
4. Tap the send icon, & the item will be instantly saved to your list

The total price is shown as $0 when there are no items with comparable prices from both Coles and Woolworths in your grocery list. WiseList calculates and displays only the difference in total prices between items that are available at both supermarkets. This approach avoids misleading comparisons where an item is only available at one retailer but not the other.

For example, if your list includes an item exclusively sold at Woolworths, such as Chimbote Dulce De Leche Traditional, it won’t be included in the total price comparison because there’s no equivalent item at Coles to compare it against. Including it could give the false impression that one supermarket is significantly cheaper or more expensive overall.

To see the total price comparison effectively, please ensure your list includes items sold at both supermarkets. Additionally, if our system identifies that shopping from both supermarkets could save you money, a “Mix and Match Savings” indicator will appear, suggesting an optimal shopping strategy for maximum savings.

Q: How do I add ALDI’s specials to my grocery list on WiseList app?

To add ALDI’s specials to your grocery list, tap on “Deals” in the WiseList app and then tap on “Aldi” in the top right corner. From there, you can browse and add the specials to your list with just a few taps.

Why Coles and Woolies’ homebrand items are put together for comparison?

For items like Milk, vegetable oil, pasta, corn, tuna etc we have combined Coles and Woolworths hombrand items together so users can compare homebrand items between the two supermarket.

For Example:
When you are searching for Woolworths Homebrand Vegetable Oil, you can also see Coles’ home brand, “Coles Vegetable Oil”. Vice versa so you will know which hombrand products are cheaper
